Donna Sachet One Of San Francisco’s Most Vibrant Spirits
Donna Sachet started her adventure in San Francisco nineteen years ago, and the city has applauded her fun-loving spirit, quick wit, and musical talent ever since. To name just two of her regal incarnations, she reigned as Miss Gay SF in 1993 and as the thirtieth elected Empress of SF in 1995-96.
These days Donna, along with renowned host Harry Denton, presents the weekly Drag Queen performance brunch at Harry Denton's Starlight Room. A Sunday salute to old-fashioned variety shows, this ribald revue revives the spirit of the drag show, picking up where the legendary Finocchio's left off. As host, Donna Sachet orchestrates the 45-minute brunch performances with a flawless touch, showcasing the talents of a variety of San Francisco Drag Queens and Divas as they perform stand-up comedy routines, female impersonation acts, and lip-sync performances. Come see headliner Cassandra Cass, who brings out the wild in Showtime’s very own reality series "Wild Things". Cassandra is living proof that “what you see is not always what you get." "This is truly a magical experience," says Sachet. "Whether you're gay, straight, or anything in between. People won't forget it!" And Donna and Cassandra are only at the Sir Francis Drake, you won’t find them at any other San Francisco historic hotel.
